A dorm bed here comes with breakfast — which, in a town where a plate of tacos and a coffee costs about what the bed does, is the reason people book a week and stay three.

Every bed is the same bed whichever room you pick: a personal locker underneath it, a shelf for the things you want within reach, a plug beside your head and linen already on. The Blue and Yellow rooms add air conditioning through the night. The difference between the rooms is simply how many people are in them.

“For my Mexican and foreign friends: this place is special because it lets you meet a lot of people. The activities they put on in the evenings and the atmosphere make the whole experience better. The location is excellent and the people looking after it — the volunteers and the staff — are super friendly and good company. And for a small amount you can add breakfast, which does you a favour during the day because the town is on the expensive side. Definitely one of the best hostels I have stayed in.”

“I’ve stayed at La Redonda several times and always had a great experience. The vibe is cool, the staff is friendly & the two owners, Lu and Anna, are very nice & helpful. The hostel is really clean, thanks to Carmen! Yes it is a party hostel, but it is so much more. I built some generous and real connections there that will last forever. The rooms are clean, have AC & all the basics like curtains. It’s in the heart of Sayulita so everything is max. 10min walking distance. Highly recommended!”

Good to know

How much is a dorm bed in Sayulita?

Less than almost anything else you will spend money on here, and ours comes with breakfast. We do not publish a headline rate, because it moves with the season, the night of the week and how long you stay — put your dates in and the booking system gives you the real number rather than a teaser.

How many beds are in a dorm?

Four, six or ten, depending on the room. The Orange Room is the smallest at four beds; Blue and Yellow are the big ones at ten.

Can a group take a whole dorm?

Four people can take the Orange Room outright, and larger groups regularly book out one of the bigger rooms. Write to us with your dates and we will tell you what is possible.

What should I bring?

A padlock, a towel — or hire one here — and flip-flops. Linen is on the bed already and there is filtered water to refill from, so leave the bottled water money for tacos.
