Two cabins for two, a hundred steps from the sea. The breakfast table, the bonfire and the surf trip are all still yours — you just do not sleep in a bunk.

Plenty of people want everything a hostel is — the people, the week, the price of the town when you are not eating every meal out — and none of what a dorm is at three in the morning. That is what the two cabins are for.

Both sleep two. The Brown Cabin is under a palapa roof with a queen bed, a mosquito net and a tropical cabana on the roof that belongs to whoever is staying in it, and its own bathroom. The White Cabin has its bathroom inside the room and a balcony over the street, which in Sayulita is an evening’s entertainment on its own.

“For my Mexican and foreign friends: this place is special because it lets you meet a lot of people. The activities they put on in the evenings and the atmosphere make the whole experience better. The location is excellent and the people looking after it — the volunteers and the staff — are super friendly and good company. And for a small amount you can add breakfast, which does you a favour during the day because the town is on the expensive side. Definitely one of the best hostels I have stayed in.”

“I’ve stayed at La Redonda several times and always had a great experience. The vibe is cool, the staff is friendly & the two owners, Lu and Anna, are very nice & helpful. The hostel is really clean, thanks to Carmen! Yes it is a party hostel, but it is so much more. I built some generous and real connections there that will last forever. The rooms are clean, have AC & all the basics like curtains. It’s in the heart of Sayulita so everything is max. 10min walking distance. Highly recommended!”

Good to know

Are the private cabins quieter than the dorms?

They are separate rooms with their own doors, so yes — but this is a hostel with something on most evenings, and a cabin is not a hotel room across town. If silence is the priority, the bonfire nights are Wednesdays.

How much is a private cabin?

We do not publish a fixed nightly rate for the cabins: it moves with the season and there are only two of them. The booking system shows the real price for your dates.

Is breakfast included in a private room?

Yes. Everything that comes with a dorm bed comes with a cabin — breakfast, Wi-Fi, filtered water, the kitchen, and every activity on the week’s programme.

Do the cabins have a private bathroom?

Yes, both of them. In the White Cabin the bathroom is inside the room.
