Life here

Nothing compulsory.
Everything going on.

Seven nights, seven things, none of them an extra on your bill. Plus the ordinary stuff that makes a week work — breakfast, hot water, a kitchen and somebody at reception.

Monday to Sunday

The week

Run by the staff and the volunteers, most of whom arrived as guests.

  1. Monday

    Beach volleyball

Volleyball on the sand at sunset, and a great deal of laughing at how bad everyone is.

  2. Tuesday

    Music quiz

Test what you actually know, sing the rest of it, and meet the people at the next table.

  3. Wednesday

    Beach bonfire

Fire, music and the sea in the dark. The night most people describe when they get home.

  4. Thursday

    Latin rhythms

A dance class that turns into a dance. Nobody has ever been the worst one there for long.

  5. Friday

    Karaoke

A microphone, a room full of strangers, and by the end of it no strangers.

  6. Saturday

    Beer pong

A tournament, a bracket, and far more ceremony than the game deserves.

  7. Sunday

    Family dinner

Everyone cooks, everyone eats, everyone washes something. The week closes at one long table.

No extra charge

Included in every stay

Whichever room you are in, from the four-bed dorm to the cabins.

  • Breakfast

Included every morning, which in a town this expensive is the amenity people mention most.

  • Hot showers

All day. Worth more than it sounds after four hours in the water.

  • Wi-Fi

Throughout the house, in the rooms and the common areas.

  • Air conditioning

In the air-conditioned dorms, from 11pm to 8am — the hours you are actually in bed.

  • Equipped kitchen

Open 11am to 11pm. Pots, pans, a fridge with your name on a shelf, and someone to cook with.

  • Filtered water

Fill your bottle here rather than buying another one.

  • Something on, every night

Seven nights, seven things. Nothing costs extra and nothing is compulsory.

  • Reception, 8am to midnight

Every day. Getting in later than that? Message us on WhatsApp before you travel.

A little extra

Experiences and extras.
Everything you need.

Priced honestly, and none of it required to enjoy the place.

The house

Where it all happens

  • The kitchen

Open 11am to 11pm and busiest at ten. The cheapest way to eat in Sayulita, and the fastest way to meet whoever is cooking next to you.

  • The bar

Ours, in the house, open in the evening. Drinks from $3, and a bartender guests keep naming in their reviews.

  • The coffee shop

Proper coffee from the morning, from $2.50 — for the mornings when breakfast is not quite enough.

  • The common areas

Hammocks, shade, a rooftop and the tables that afternoons disappear into.

“For my Mexican and foreign friends: this place is special because it lets you meet a lot of people. The activities they put on in the evenings and the atmosphere make the whole experience better. The location is excellent and the people looking after it — the volunteers and the staff — are super friendly and good company. And for a small amount you can add breakfast, which does you a favour during the day because the town is on the expensive side. Definitely one of the best hostels I have stayed in.”

“I’ve stayed at La Redonda several times and always had a great experience. The vibe is cool, the staff is friendly & the two owners, Lu and Anna, are very nice & helpful. The hostel is really clean, thanks to Carmen! Yes it is a party hostel, but it is so much more. I built some generous and real connections there that will last forever. The rooms are clean, have AC & all the basics like curtains. It’s in the heart of Sayulita so everything is max. 10min walking distance. Highly recommended!”

“The place is warm and beautiful, and everybody was kind and lovely. From the first contact there is a feeling of calm and friendliness. There are fun activities and everyone makes you feel part of it. The karaoke was the best (congratulations to the girl from Florida who sang Lady Gaga's Alejandro). Breakfast was delicious and filling and I felt welcome the whole time. Thank you for such an excellent place. ✨🤙🌊”
